Signing off
Hola Parents, family & friends!
Sorry for the delay, we have been off grid for the last 8 days and if we wanted to get a signal we had to take our kayak out. The Morgans have been wonderful hosts and have taken great care of all of us! We hope that all of the kids have a chance to experience this amazing opportunity!

Here is our week in snapshot:
- We landed
- waiting in a 3 hour line fro customs
- traveled 7 hours on 3 buses to the town of Puetra Jiminez (after a pit stop at Hacienda Baru mid way through)
- went past town for a 5 mile (35 minute drive) down a bumpy non-paved road with beautiful scenery, cattle pastures and picturesque beach views to the Morgans Jungle Lodge in the Costa Rica Rainforest
- Spent the first three days on adventure activities of Chocolate Factory viewing, creek walking and ziplining. The Chocolate Factory was an amazing experience with farm to table Costa Rica specialties; Zip lining went off without a hitch (minus Steve's minor panic attack- thanks to Kate & Mallory for help with deep breathing exercises "in through the nose, out through the mouth..."); Creek walking had amazing sights- even special species in from New Zealand.
- The next day we spent on the boats snorkeling and dolphin watching.
- Horseback riding on the beach went off without a hitch and no injuries. One rogue horse (Will Earls's ) took a run down the beach and Rancher Steve galloped to save the day. We saw huge waves and lots of wildlife...perfect!
- Thursday was a service day that was AMAZING! The kids painted at the elementary school and played soccer and volleyball with the students. We presented the donations we brought and the school was overwhelmed with joy. After the mission work, we went to Iguana Lodge and played on the beach and swam in the 2 foot waves.
- Friday we had a beach walk with Adonis who showed us how to survive on a deserted island with coconuts. Then we had a beautiful Mass in Spanish. All the students shared their special intentions of gratitude and it was a peaceful memorable moment.
- Spent today driving another 7 hours back to San Jose and now we are all resting and having fun at the Best Western.
- We have over 2000 photos & vidoes of the week that we will be downloading to Shutterfly for all to view in the next several weeks.
See you all tomorrow in Cincinnati!!!
Adios,
Dos Amigos (El Chappo & Heather)
